Abstract: 

Mirjaveh Special Economic Zone is a growing region that has a natural and God given attraction inside, and unique natural and historical attractions around it, especially in the Temin and Ladiz areas. This special economic area with many strengths will be able to take advantage of its opportuni ty. The purpose of the present study was to identify the strengths and weaknesses and opportunities and threats in front of tourism development and the Mirjaveh special economic zone and provide the appropriate and efficient strategies. Identifying and analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats using the SWOT model, and QUANTITATIVE strategy PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM) has been used to select the best tourism development strategy. To determine the weight of SWOT factors, a questionnaire based on the Likert scale was designed as 5 items and completed by 20 tourism specialists and experts in the level of Sistan and Baluchestan province. The results of the research show that aggressive strategies are the most suitable strategies for the development of tourism in the special economic zone of Mirjaveh. The SO1 strategy, with an average of 2. 571, with emphasis on the development of ecotourism (natural tourism), has been proposed at the natural absorption centers as the best suggestion.

Abstract: 

Public participation is counted as one of the main indexes in sustainable urban management.Based on their nature, metropolitan cities has several and complex problems. For this purpose Tehran metropolitan area is selected. QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM) weighted through a made-by researcher questionnaire. The reliability of the model was verified by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Evaluation MATRIX for internal and external factors was equal to 1.944 and 3.413, respectively. The strategies were classified and prioritize by QUANTITATIVE MATRIX. Suitable strategies for Tehran city are as follows: developing a STRATEGIC plan in field of social control participatory management for Tehran city; changing management approach from a traditional pattern into a modern one in Tehran’s urban management system and making urban mangers required to respond to people’s demands; facilitating conditions of non-governmental (NGOs’)registration and activities affairs, especially those related to the field of urban environment; educating citizens in order to create citizens’ demands and improving its legal position; empowering non-governmental (NGOs) and community-based organizations in a social-based manner and establishing citizens’ advisory committees (CACs); developing and equipping neighborhood houses and supporting successful and superior plans in management of neighborhoods; creating and improving the electronic city’s infrastructures and designing the control system and virtual participation; developing legal mechanisms so as to handle what citizens ask urban management to do; educating and promoting urban management officials’ and managers’ level of environmental knowledge; patterning of superior examples of participatory urban environmental management; distributing the power through transferring municipality’s authorities to regions’ and neighborhoods’ citizens.

Abstract: 

Medical equipment industry is very extensive and enjoys a unique appeal in terms of products scope and consumer markets. Therefore, it is vital for the activists in this industry to gain competitive advantages and the appropriate status among the competitors. This study has tried to use some QUANTITATIVE techniques to develop competitive strategies for Gohar Shafa Medical Equipment Company. In this context with the use of External and Internal Factors Evaluation MATRIXes (EFE & IFE) SWOT and the Internal and External (IE), the most important key factors have been identified and while determining STRATEGIC direction of company, possible options are specified. Then by using QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM), different options have been evaluated and among them the most appropriate option is chosen. The findings of this research suggest "market development strategy" for Gohar Shafa Company.

Abstract: 

Today, due to the limitations and crises in proceeding Water and Wastewater Authority in supplying and optimal utilization of water resources and sewage disposal, management is need and STRATEGIC and operational are also PLANNING to enhance the competitive advantage of human societies. The purpose of this study is evaluation of advantages and limitations of urban Water and Wastewater Authority (WWA) of west Azerbaijan and choosing strategies in the development and offering solutions so as to achieve short-term and long-term purposes also offering services and satisfaction customer of WWA. This research is done on the process of formulating the STRATEGIC PLANNING model of David, the data from the survey-descriptive study through interviews, questionnaires and study library are also collected. After identifying the internal and external factors of the WWA and put in the SWOT and IE MATRIX, the resulting scores were in the position of aggressive strategy and Near to competitive position, and then main strategies in these position have been prioritized with QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM). Improvement the methods of providing services for customers using of new technologies, improving the management of relationship with customers, Preferment the quality of drinkable water, implementing the developmental projects and separating of drinkable water from non-drinkable were selected as the most effective strategies. The implementation of strategies based on the highest average scores, Implementation of strategies aggressive (SO) and strategies competitive (ST) are suggested.

Abstract: 

The management of Hyrcanian forests is experiencing the first period of logging ban since 2017. The transition from traditional forestry to modern forestry and the suitable management strategies is an indispensable step to prevent the forestry plans from mismanagement. Aiming at STRATEGIC PLANNING, this study deals with factors affecting forestry with the aid of value engineering and including experts' viewpoints and study records screened through fuzzy Delphi. The result of the concurrency of the scores of the internal and external factors in the evaluation MATRIX of SWOT could select the strategies countering weaknesses and threats. The results of the measurement of the attractiveness of defense strategies with selected SWOT factors in the QSPM MATRIX from experts' viewpoints showed that the impact of external factors on forest management was more than internal factors; hence prioritized strategies were reselected regarding the main stakeholders and the social view of the forest. Based on the weighted average of internal factors, the strategy of the necessity of increasing forest adaptability to climate change was chosen as the first priority, indicating the necessity of science-based management in the Hyrcanian forests.

Abstract: 

Introduction: This study developed a STRATEGIC management plan for hospital waste in selected public hospitals using QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM) model. Materials and Methods: This research was conducted in three stages. First, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) MATRIX of waste management was extracted and scored in public hospitals in Yazd. Then, the MATRIX of internal and external factors along with the obtained strategies were developed using the SWOT model. Finally, using the QSPM model, the attractiveness table was prepared for weighting the prioritized strategies. Results: The final score of SWOT analysis showed that the studied hospitals were in a competitive position (WT strategy). According to the results, 14 prioritized strategies were proposed. According to the QSPM MATRIX, the strategy of "green management indicators improvement" was prioritized. Conclusion: The competitive position of the studied hospitals indicates a situation where hospitals should promote their strengths and reduce their weaknesses in order to take advantage of opportunities.

In this regard, the STRATEGIC and key role of tourism in the regional development is evident. The lack of suitable programs by tourism organizations and tourisms and the reluctance of private sector investment in the lack of facilities and facilities for tourists have made industry Tourism in these areas will be underdeveloped. The current research on Sardasht city has been done considering the potential of tourism and in order to answer these questions: what are the advantages and limitations of tourism development in this region and what are the ways to develop tourism? In this research, to identify the strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats in tourists and experts of government departments and organizations. Related to the tourism, hotel industry and recreational agencies in the county and province that had years of experience in this field were interviewed and using the SWOT model and the intersection of these factors together the strategies of WT, WO, ST and SO were determined in four categories. In the next step, to select the best strategy for developing this industry, QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM), and to determine the weight of the factors, a SWOT questionnaire based on the Likert scale was designed as 5 options and was designed by 50 sampel. Abstract: 

Lorestan province, inspite of having distinct tourist areas such as: Falkol Aflak Castle, Gahar lake, beautiful waterfalls, ancient history, unique cultural heritages, STRATEGIC situation and many other opportunities like increasing travel incentive among people, Having specialists, Suitable climatic and natural conditions, is faced with weaknesses and threats in using the capacities of this area. The purpose of this study is to identify the weak and strong points, opportunities and the threats which tourists are faced with and offering proper and effective strategies.In this study, for identifying the strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats faced with, some interviews have been made with some tourists, scholors of the state administrative and organizations relevant with tourism and hotel industry and owners of travel agencies and recreational centers who had years of experiences in this field and by using Swot model, from the confluence of these factors together, the appropriate strategies in four categories of SO, ST, WO and WT was determined. At the next stage, for selecting the best strategy for development of this indystry, the QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM) was used. In this study, for determining the weights of SWOT elements, a questionare was prepared based on Likert scale with 5 options and has been completed by 30 people of experts and experienced people of tourism industry in Lorestan province.The results show the suitable strategies for tourism development in Lorestan province are defensive strategies. WT3 strategy with an average of 1.85 with emphasize on encouraging people to travel to the province and advertizing tourist attractions in the goal markets has been recommended as the best strategy.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Many rural development practitioners and governments have considered tourism as a tool to help rural areas' economic and social development, especially in the last two decades. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to propose a STRATEGIC plan for the development of the rural tourism industry in the conditions of Iran's economy.Methodology: The present research is descriptive-analytical in terms of purpose and research method. In this research, library and field research methods have been used to collect data and information required for research. The information was analyzed through meetings and interviews with industry officials and experts and the use of brainstorming methods to identify strengths and weaknesses and opportunities and threats. The population studied in this study was 20 officials and experts in this industry in 2009. The data analysis method used tools such as internal and external factor evaluation MATRIX, SWOT MATRIX and QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM).Geographical Context: The geographical area of the current research is Iran.Results and Discussion: Two strategies for developing the rural tourism industry in the Iranian economy were obtained based on the analysis of internal and external factors. According to the internal and external factors, possible strategies obtained from the SWOT MATRIX using a QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX and the coefficient, rank and final score are specified. The QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM) has prioritized the proposed offensive strategies. Therefore, aggressive strategies for developing the rural tourism industry in Iran are as follows.Strategy 1- Necessary measures for proper use of rural tourism capabilities and resources, Strategy 2: Use of specialized and educated native labor and participation in the development of rural, tourism,Strategy 3 Appropriate advertising to identify natural and historical sites of villages in Iran, Strategy 4 - Develop the necessary programs to encourage the private sector to invest in the tourism industry.Conclusion: Based on the situation of the rural tourism industry in the SPACE MATRIX, the industry is evaluated to be in a weak aggressive position. Hence, it may move towards a conservative strategy in the future. According to the QSPM MATRIX, the priority of this study is first with strategy 1 (measures needed to utilize the capabilities and resources of rural tourism properly). Then, Strategies should be developed to encourage the private sector to invest in the tourism industry, appropriate advertisements to identify natural and historical sites of villages in Iran and the use of specialized and educated local labor in the development of rural tourism.
